Granata, Rocco Rocco Granata was born in Calabrien, South Italies. At the age of 10 years its parents with him and its sister emigrated to Belgium. Already at this age it was interested in everything that had to do with music. With 18 years it took up its first record. It composed and wrote the text a title to which it believed firmly, believed it can and even a hit had to be. But all producers and record companies rejected it. Thus only the possibility remained producing this title in self-direction. With his “internationally Quintett” he rented a studio and produced its first Song “Marina”. Rocco and its friends accommodated their plate in the music boxes of the neighbourhood and the record dealers of the environment had soon all hands fully to do to master the immense demand. The large record companies found the way sudden into the small Belgian village in the coal district. Thus became from Rocco Granata over night a businessman and equal still many more: A WORLD STAR. “Marina”, which had not being considered by anybody, except him, was sung and bought in the whole world of millions humans. However were sold in the first year over 10 million Singles, and the title was represented nearly into all hit parade of the world. Rocco reigned in the center of the show Business. His show in the New Yorker Carnegie was broadcasted from stations all over the world. Back in Europe spent Rocco several years in Germany, where further world hits developed like “Irena”, “Oh Rosie”, “a Italiano”, “La Bella”, “Buena Notte” u.v.a.. Further it played in 10 music films also, and its titles were published by artists such as Dean Martin, Dalida, Catarina Valente, The Four Aces etc. on clay/tone carriers. Out of cheerful sky it went back to Belgium. He married and became father of SAM and Jessica. He was again its own producer and took up “20 Fantastic Italy Songs”, packed its suit-cases and America had the Italian with the “laughter in the voice” again. Born in the asterisk of the Loewens Rocco always fought for the fulfilment of his desires and conceptions. It reached everything which it wanted, even still more. Despite all successes he remained always which he was, typical southern, child dear, a friend of the nature and the beautiful arts, which appreciates a good glass of wine in the circle of good friends always. Today Rocco is more up-to-date ever, there melodioese music, with romantic texts the way, also and degrees again, to young humans finds.
